without charging donors or charities for our services.
Nick heads up the PayPal Giving Fund team globally, supporting its boards in developing and driving the organization's strategy. Prior to that, he ran PayPal Giving Fund UK. Nick joined PayPal Giving Fund from ACEVO, a professional network for charity leaders, where, as director of strategy, he led the association's policy and professional development teams.
Joshua manages the internal operations of PayPal Giving Fund, ensuring it delivers its mission effectively and efficiently at growing scale. His previous roles have included COO and CFO at an international poverty alleviation organization, VP at a strategic consulting firm focused on social impact, and project manager for a start-up satellite telecommunications company in Ghana. He holds an MBA from the George Washington University and a bachelor's degree from Williams College.
Nuru manages PayPal Giving Fund’s accounting activities. Prior to joining PayPal Giving Fund, she worked for Atlantic Recycling Group, LLC, Jewish War Veteran’s museum, Common Cause and Association of Governing Boards of Universities and Colleges. She is a chartered CPA in Virginia and graduated in accounting and finance from USC, Columbia.
Claudia leads the PayPal Giving Fund day-to day finance operations for the US, Canada and Australia. Prior to joining PayPal Giving Fund, she worked for several mission-driven organizations including Save The Children, National Geographic and U.S. Green Building Council where she focused on full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, and budget analysis. She received an MBA from American University and a bachelor's degree from the College of William and Mary.
Ying is responsible for the financial operations in the US. She joined PayPal Giving Fund (at the time MissionFish) as a support engineer to make sure our site and systems run as smoothly as possible. She specializes in reconciling our financial and online systems to ensure all donations are accurately processed. Ying has a master's degree in Computer Science from George Mason University.
Josh is responsible for PayPal Giving Fund's financial operations in Australia and Canada. He has held various accounting roles within the technology industry at Safenet, Sourcefire, and Cisco Systems. He received an MBA from Loyola University, Maryland, with a focus on international business and a bachelor’s degree in accounting and economics from Towson University. When Josh is not working, he is traveling the world.
Jason is responsible for our alternative charity payment operations in the US, Canada and Australia. Prior to joining PayPal Giving Fund, Jason held roles within companies in the financial and tech sectors, such as Morgan Stanley and Apple. Aside from his responsibilities at PayPal Giving Fund, Jason enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters, and is a member of the Dale City Volunteer Fire Department.
Scott heads partner relations at PayPal Giving Fund and works closely with our major partners, such as PayPal, eBay, and Humble Bundle. In his spare time, he volunteers at local food banks, helps with music at his church, coaches youth soccer, and enjoys outdoor activities with his wife and daughter.
Alex is responsible for supporting US Operations and Governance for US, UK, Ireland, Canada and Australia. Prior to joining PayPal Giving Fund, Alex has held various roles at Apple Inc, including recruitment and SMB business development. She graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a bachelor’s in Business, Management & Entrepreneurship, focusing on Human Resource Management. Alex resides in Richmond, Virginia and enjoys traveling and volunteering at various local organizations.
Oktay’s areas of responsibility at PayPal include tools for non-profits processing payments, offerings for individuals supporting their favourite causes on PayPal, and supporting partners offering giving opportunities for their customers on their sites. Before PayPal he was a co-founder and CTO of MissionFish, eBay’s nonprofit partner powering cause-marketing and donation programs built into eBay properties since 2003 – until MissionFish was acquired by eBay Inc. in 2011.
Jeff is the VP Chief Accounting Officer at PayPal, responsible for all accounting and reporting activities, and has over 23 years of experience in various accounting and reporting roles. At PayPal, Jeff has also held roles in M&A Finance, as the Assistant Controller prior to PayPal’s divesture from eBay in 2015, and more recently as the Global Controller.
Tie Kim is an experienced finance executive whose career spans over 25 years in venture capital, start-ups and financial management. As Benetech’s CFO, Tie is responsible for all financial functions including accounting and audits as well as strategy and compliance. Previously, Tie served as the CFO at Omidyar Network, a philanthropic investment firm focused on creating opportunities for people to improve their own lives, their communities and the world around them.
Ellie has been in the financial services industry for 22 years. Throughout this time Ellie has played numerous roles in training organizations, contact centers, project management programs and telemarketing services. In her current role at PayPal, she has end-to-end accountability for global customer support and the various support teams such as training, knowledge management, go to market, segmentation, performance management and leadership effectiveness.
Franz leads PayPal’s Social Innovation efforts to drive positive social impact and make a difference for consumers, businesses and communities around the world. He is also responsible for PayPal’s external and internal communications functions, along with the company’s global government relations and public policy activities.
Victoria joined the foundation in November 2011. Previously, she served as the vice president, communications and assessment at Venture Philanthropy Partners (VPP), responsible for the organization's overall internal and external communications and assessment of VPP and its portfolio's performance. She joined VPP as the chief knowledge officer in 2003. Vrana studied in Germany and Hungary and has a degree in comparative literature from the University of California at Davis.
PayPal Giving Fund receives grant funding in support of its charitable mission from PayPal. PayPal also donates staff time to the PayPal Giving Fund, with the relevant team members employed by PayPal and formally seconded to PayPal Giving Fund to carry out our work, exclusively furthering charitable purposes. PayPal, Inc. is the sole member of PayPal Giving Fund, and in this capacity appoints its board of directors.
