Attracting new supporters and donations

PayPal is committed to helping charities raise funds by using our technology to provide new ways for people to support the causes they care about.


We enable and encourage our consumers to support charities in the PayPal Giving Fund Directory. In addition, we run a ‘Featured Charities’ program to offer extra opportunities to charities that are of particular relevance to our consumers.

Our Featured Charities rotate, and we are currently looking for charities that are:​

Promoting racial equality, inclusion
and economic empowerment.

Helping people to respond to the
impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Promoting women's
economic empowerment.

To be considered for a Featured Charity placement, your charity will need to meet our selection criteria.

Be of relevance and interest to a wide section of the Australian public

Be registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission and have Item 1 Deductible Gift Recipient Status

Have an up to date profile on the PayPal Fundraising Site

Have an active and verified PayPal business account

Have PayPal as a payment method enabled on your website

Be willing to encourage supporters to make you a favourite charity on PayPal

Charities that meet the above eligibility requirements may be selected by PayPal at their sole discretion.

No additional fees are incurred to be a PayPal Featured Charity.
