Are Cryptocurrency purchases covered by PayPal Buyer Protection?

PayPal Buyer Protection does not apply to Cryptocurrency purchases. However, Cryptocurrency purchases are protected in the event of unauthorized activity taking place, provided that customers have taken care of and followed the customer's terms and conditions. You are given rights to the Cryptocurrency you buy on PayPal but will not be provided with a private key. If you can log in to your PayPal account, you’ll be given rights to the Cryptocurrency balance you hold.

The maximum amount for weekly cryptocurrency purchases in the US is $100,000 USD per week, with no annual purchase limits.

When I click to 'Buy' Crypto, will I receive the current price displayed on the app?

Yes. The market value of the Cryptocurrency displayed when a user clicks 'Buy' will be the price you pay. That price will update every few seconds to reflect any change to the market value.
