Our deep understanding of our customers’ transaction history allows us to assess if a product is affordable for them. We undertake external credit checks where appropriate and support external reporting to credit reference agencies as this can give customers the ability to build a credit history, as well as enabling other lenders to make responsible lending decisions.

Security and protection.

All transactions are supported by PayPal security and we cover qualifying transactions with our Buyer Protection for added peace of mind. As a responsible lender we also provide support to customers should they experience payment difficulties.

How we approve PayPal Credit and Pay in 3 customers.

Our decision-making process reflects that we are responsible lenders and don’t want you to have difficulties in making future repayments. We assess your financial position using a combination of the information provided within your application, and information we hold about your usage and history with PayPal. If needed, we may also use additional information from credit bureaus to assist us in deciding whether our products are suitable for you at this time.

How we support those in financial difficulties.

We believe in responsible lending and will make efforts to support customers who are experiencing financial difficulty. If you know you will be unable to make a payment or are otherwise concerned about your finances, the best thing to do is contact us to discuss this in advance. Don’t wait until your payment is overdue.
If a payment does become overdue, our collection team will work with you to find the best solution.
