Any charity registered with the Charity Regulator in Ireland is eligible to become enrolled with PayPal Giving Fund Ireland. It’s free to enrol, however, you’ll need to meet PayPal’s requirements.

Becoming a confirmed charity with PayPal allows you to qualify for PayPal’s special discounted charity rate.

Enrollment steps

1. To enrol with PayPal Giving Fund, your charity needs to have a PayPal business account. If you don’t have one, you can sign up now.
2. Once you’ve set up your PayPal Business account, you'll need to confirm that it belongs to a charity. After creating a PayPal Business account, you'll receive an email asking you to ‘Confirm your charity status'. Follow the link to the PayPal Confirmed Charities page and click Confirm your account.
3. After you receive an email verifying that your charity status is confirmed, your charity will be reviewed for PayPal Giving Fund enrolment. If you’re eligible, you’ll receive an additional email in approximately 2 days.

Once enrolled, your charity will receive a welcome email and you’ll benefit from all of the Giving programmes and campaigns powered by PayPal Giving Fund. You’ll also gain access to your PayPal Giving Fund dashboard, where you'll find donation reports and donor data (if the donor has opted in to share this).

Your charity doesn’t need to enroll to receive grants from PayPal Giving Fund, however, by enrolling it will:  

• Receive grants in your PayPal account in a single monthly payment.
• Track all donations made to your charity through the charity dashboard.
• View donor details (where the donor has agreed to share their details with you) to help build your database.
• Be eligible to participate in additional PayPal Giving Fund programs.
• Have the ability to update your charity profile page which appears on our partners' platforms such as Facebook and PayPal.
