You can only upgrade your personal or premier account to a business account if you're a sole trader. For all other business types, you’ll need to open a new business account with a different email address and bank account.

Here's how to upgrade your PayPal account:

1. Click the Settings icon at the top of the page.
2. Click Update to a Business account.
3. Enter your business information, and read the E-Communication Delivery Policy, User Agreement and Privacy Policy.
4. Click Agree and Upgrade Account.
